Dr. Rakesh Kumar Majhi was introduced to the field of ion channels during his Integrated MSc and PhD at NISER Bhubaneswar under the supervision of Prof. Chandan Goswami. He had thorough clinical exposure during his PhD as well as during his Postdoctoral training at Karolinska Institute and Karolinska University Hospital, University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital. He got trained in the field of Host-Pathogen Interaction and Antimicrobial Peptides during his postdoc with Prof. Annelie Brauner at Karolinska, Sweden. He got exposure to industrial collaborations and cellular immunotherapy product development during his postdoc with Prof. Karl-Johan Malmberg at Oslo, Norway. He joined IIT Kanpur as Assistant Professor in September 2022; and established the Tissue Restoration Lab in September 2023 as Lab No. 1 in MFCEM building of IIT Kanpur.
